KUWAIT CITY - As a follow up to our communication published last month regarding the verbal notification of the increase of the official fees for IP matters, this is to inform you that a Ministerial Decree No. 500 of the year 2015 has been issued regarding the Implementing Regulations of Law No. 13 of the year 2015 which approves the GCC Trade Mark Law and its increase of the official fees for all trademarks transactions.
The Decree was published in the Official Gazette of Kuwait (Al-Kuwait Al-Youm) issue No.1268 dated 27 December 2015 effective 28 December 2015, and will affect all trademark applications filed after said date as well as retroactively for pending applications as regards to their publication and registration.
